Issue:
The motor belt in the Strapack machine needs to be replaced due to wear, loosening, or breakage. Follow these steps to safely replace the belt and restore the machine’s performance.
Step 1: Power Off & Ensure Safety
· Turn off the machine and unplug it from the power supply.
· Allow the machine to cool down if recently used.
· Wear safety gloves to prevent injuries.
Step 2: Open the Machine Cover
· Use a screwdriver or Allen key to remove screws from the side panel.
· Carefully lift off the cover to expose the motor and belt assembly.
Step 3: Remove the Old Motor Belt
· Observe the belt’s current position and alignment.
· Loosen the motor mounting bolts with a wrench to release tension.
· Slide the old belt off the motor pulley and drive pulley carefully.
Step 4: Install the New Motor Belt
· Align the new belt over the motor pulley and drive pulley exactly as the old belt.
· Adjust the motor position to set proper belt tension.
How to Check Correct Belt Tension?
✔ The belt should be tight enough to avoid
slipping but not overly tight to prevent strain.
✔ Lightly press the belt—it
should have about ½ inch (12 mm) of flex.
Step 5: Secure & Test the Belt
· Tighten the motor mounting bolts to secure the belt.
· Manually rotate the pulleys to ensure the belt moves smoothly.
Step 6: Reassemble & Test the Machine
· Reattach the machine cover and tighten all screws.
· Plug in the machine and turn it on.
· Run a test cycle to check if the motor and belt operate smoothly.
