To identify the root cause clearly, kindly follow the step-by-step inspection process below:
Step 1: Check the Strap Roll Inside the Corrugated Box
Please first check a fresh strap roll inside the corrugated box before installing it in the machine.
The strap should be flat, uniform, and free from crushing or deformation.
If the strap is OK, please proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Check the Strap Before It Enters the Strapping Mechanism
After installing the strap in the machine, check the strap at the entry point before it enters the strapping mechanism. This position is marked with the green arrow in the reference image.
At this point, the strap should still be in perfect condition.
If the strap is OK here, please proceed to Step 3.
Step 3: Check the Strap at the Top of the Machine Table
Now check the strap at the top table area of the machine, marked with the red arrow in the image.
If the strap is found crushed at this stage, it indicates that the issue is most likely due to incorrect roller gap setting between the forward and reverse rollers inside the machine.
Required Action
The roller gap needs to be adjusted as per the machine specification so that the strap can move smoothly during forward and reverse operation without getting crushed.
This is a common issue and may occur due to machine movement, mechanical adjustment, servicing, or normal usage over time.
Kindly adjust the roller gap setting and check the strap movement again. Once the correct gap is maintained, the strap should move smoothly without damage.
